Two Sea Days

DAY 17 – Oct 15: At Sea. Laptops in the morning in the cabin. We ventured out for lunch in the dining room, which was very good. It is decorated with the title Heritage Dinner for tonight. They really decorate on this ship. Following lunch, we went to the Sea View Pool because there is going to be a Neptune Ceremony. We did cross the equator earlier today. It was very entertaining and one of the best we’ve seen. We played games after the crowd cleared. It is quite a process to clean up after this event. We went to an acrylic painting class with Annie. It was fun but the painting results were more than interesting I thought it was hard to do. Stuart did well in the casino and we also enjoyed James on the piano. He finally sang Grease that I requested on Deb’s birthday!

DAY 18 – Oct 16: At Sea. Another enjoyable day. It is warm for sure so most of the day was spent around the pool, in the pool, and playing games. By afternoon we needed nap after all the sun and water! This evening was another event! Octoberfest! This crew really works hard with all the entertaining. I am sure they are exhausted but they sure seem to be having fun! At Octoberfest they had pretzel buns and another sort of plain bun. In addition, there were 2 kinds of cheese sauce, 2 kinds of mustard, and 2 kinds of sausage. The meal was completed with sauerkraut. We sat out there a while after the party. The weather was so nice with a slight breeze. After coming in, we both went to the casino and won for a change! The rest of the evening we listened to James on the piano. Once James was done, we chatted with John and Karen. John is quite the unforgettable guy who is loud and boisterous, but also very nice. We met him on the Africa Cruise. A game of cribbage in the cabin and off to bed.
